Gender Reveal Fireworks Are A Thing!
Updated: Mar 4
Most people who are expecting a baby, and cannot wait until the birth to find out whether it is going to be a girl or a boy, find out at a scan, and then tell their family and friends their happy news the next time they see them.
But increasingly, people have begun making the moment they tell people the gender of their still forming baby into an event, by holding a party or gathering, or making something of a stir on their social media - or both.
It was a trend which began in the US, with gender reveal parties becoming the next big thing after baby showers, where couples or expectant mums will perform stunts like cutting a cake to reveal coloured sponge, to break the news of whether they are expecting a boy or a girl to family and friends.
And now, available a s a professional display or self fire kit for the first time, is the ultimate in taking that ‘moment’ to its logical, and loudest extreme - gender reveal fireworks.
The most extreme use of the gender reveal fireworks idea that has been known, is for the expectant mum or couple to ask the nurse conducting the scan to write down the gender of their baby and put it in an envelope, which they then give to the fireworks company without looking at it.
They then buy the relevant ‘gender-specific fireworks box’ and only discover what the scan result was when the first firework explodes above their heads!
